Sambad state-level annual competition-2018 held in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: State-level annual competition-2018, organised by Sambad and Ama Odisha kicked off in six zones across Odisha capital on Sept 9. About 5572 students of over 200 schools participated in the competitions in 13 examination centres in Bhubaneswar.

Participants reached the examination centre at 08:30 am. The topics for painting competition were declared at 09:30 am. While students of Class V sat for the hour-long painting competition, students of Class VI and VII appeared for the 30-minute handwriting test and students of Class VIII wrote the Odia language and essay paper at 10 am.

Students and parents eagerly awaited the results of the competitions that were declared after deliberation. First, second and third rank holders were awarded at the exam centres.

The 13 exam centres of six zones in Bhubaneswar are: Sri Aurobindo Purnang Shiksha Kendra (Jharpada) and Prabhujee English Medium School for Rasulgarh zone; DAV Public School (Chandrasekharpur), Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir (Patia) and KISS for Chandrasekhar zone; Capital High School for central zone; Sri Aurobindo Purnang Shiksha Kendra (Khandagiri) and Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir (Tamando) for Khandagiri zone; Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir (Bhimtangi) and BJEM School for Old Town zone, Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir (Unit VIII), IRC Village High School and Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir (Jaydev Vihar) for CRP zone.

Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Sambad Group Chairman Soumya Ranjan Patnaik and Managing Director Monica Nayyar Patnaik visited the examination centres to encourage the students and ensure smooth conduct of the competition.
