Bhadrak: A tribal woman searching for work was allegedly gang-raped by three men in Chandbali area of Odisha's Bhadrak district.

Police have arrested the accused and forwarded them to court.

As per reports, the woman had on June 25 arrived in Chandbali for work opportunities. Sanjay Das, a local youth, offered to take her to his home. However, when his family noticed that she was in an inebriated state, they sent her away.

While returning in an auto-rickshaw, Sanjay's three friends-- Pradeep Das, Sansara Das, and Dhukuda Das-- offered her work at their house and took her on their motorcycles. On the way, the three men took her to an isolated brick kiln, where they allegedly raped her.

The accused fled the spot after committing the crime. On regaining consciousness, the woman screamed for help. Hearing her cries, some locals arrived at the scene and informed the police.

The victim was rescued by police and taken to a hospital for treatment. On the basis of a complaint lodged by her, police registered a case and apprehended the accused after raiding various places on Thursday and Friday.
