Sambalpur: A police official of Odisha's Sambalpur district was fined for driving without wearing a helmet near Ainthapali Chhak where checking of vehicles was being conducted.

The move of the district police came after a video of the incident surfaced on social media and went viral.

According to reports, two youths were fined by cops at Ainthapali Chhak yesterday for driving two-wheeler without helmet. Moments later, the duo saw Police Inspector Dharam Minz, who was driving a scooter without wearing helmet, being allowed by his fellow policemen to go past the spot without imposition of fine.

They immediately followed the official and shot a video of the incident. The clip was later posted on social media.

On being aware about it, Sambalpur SP Sanjeev Arora directed for collection of fine from the police official.
