Access to Odisha govt data now a click away. Here's how

Bhubaneswar: Various data of different departments of the Odisha government can now be accessed on internet platform as Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi today inaugurated the State Open Government Data Platform-- www.odisha.data.gov.in.

Chief data officers of all departments have been asked to upload information of their respective departments on the website within a week.

The portal is intended to be used by departments/organizations of Odisha government to publish datasets, documents, services, tools and applications collected by them for public use. It intends to increase transparency in the functioning of the state government and also open avenues for many more innovative uses of government data to give different perspective.

Open Government Data Portal of the state is designed and developed by the Open Government Data Division of National Informatics Centre (NIC), Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Government of India.

Odisha is one of the five states in the country to execute such an initiative.
