Bhubaneswar: Twin City Police Commissioner S Dev Dutta Singh, an Odisha-cadre IPS officer, is set to go on central deputation.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of altogether 30 IPS officers form different cadres, including Singh, for holding Additional Director General (ADG) or equivalent posts at the Centre.

Singh is the only IPS officer from Odisha cadre to be included in the list to hold ADG or equivalent posts at the Centre.  

Singh, a 1998-batch IPS officer, had been appointed as the Commissioner of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police on September 29, 2024.

He had succeeded Sanjeeb Panda, a 1994-batch IPS officer.
