Bhubaneswar: Four bike-borne miscreants allegedly looted Rs 12 lakh from the employees of a petrol pump after opening fire on them in Odisha’s Balasore district today.

The incident took place in front of a bank at Bartana in Soro area of Balasore in the afternoon.

The miscreants opened fire on two employees of the petrol pump while they were about to enter the bank to deposit the money.

They snatched a bag containing the cash from the employees of the petrol pump and fled the spot.

One employee of the petrol pump sustained bullet injuries on his leg and was rushed to a nearby hospital in a critical condition.
