BJD sweeps Attabira NAC polls, wins 13 out of 16 wards in Hindol

Dhenkanal/Bargarh: The winning streak of the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Odisha continues as the party emerged victorious in the elections to Hindol and Attabira Notified Area Councils in Dhenkanal and Bargarh districts, respectively.

While the conch party clean sweeped the Attabira NAC polls by winning all the 12 wards, it won 13 out of 16 wards in Hindol NAC.

The BJP won one ward in Hindol while two independent candidates were victorious in two different wards of the NAC.

The Congress and the saffron party failed to open account in the Attabira NAC.

Notably, the counting of votes had started this morning. Voting for the two NACs was held on April 3.
