Anugola: The Anugola Town Police has busted an alleged sex racket operating inside a shoe shop in the city and detained three persons including two women.

The police raided the shoe shop near DIC Chhak when the city was bustling with activity ahead of the Gajalaxmi Puja celebrations.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid at the Soujanya shoe shop at DIC Chhak. They found a woman and a male customer in an alleged compromising situation inside the concealed room, in the presence of the shop owner.

The shop is reportedly owned by a woman from the Kamakhyanagar area of Dhenkanal district.

Police subsequently detained all three for questioning.

Further investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged racket and determine whether others were involved.
