Fake currency notes seized from Kamakhya-Yesvantpur Express train in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A huge amount of fake currency notes were seized from Kamakhya-Yesvantpur AC SF Express train at Bhubaneswar Railway station here today.

Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials seized 150 fake Rs 2,000 notes during raid on the Express train and detained one accused for allegedly supplying the fake currency notes.

The accused identified as Simar, a resident of a village located near Bangladesh border. It is suspected that the fake notes were smuggled from Bangladesh to Bengaluru.

With the seizure of fake notes from the train, it suspected that a fake currency note racket is being operated from Bangladesh.
