Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department in Odisha has issued a revised timeline for admission into the undergraduate (UG) courses for the academic session 2026-27.
The department has extended the last date for submission of online applications to June 16. It had earlier asked the students to submit their applications by June 10.
The first merit list for the admission into UG (Plus 3) courses in public universities and government and private degree colleges will be published on June 22.
The students will report for admission in the allotted institutions between June 23 and 25, said the Higher Education Department.
The department will publish the second merit list for UG admission in the state on July 2. The students will report for admission in the allotted institutions between July 3 to 6.
As per the revised timeline, the merit list for spot admission will be published on July 13. The students will report for admission on July 14 and 15. The classes are scheduled to commence on July 10, said the department.
“The admission process will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. While filling up the Common Application Form (CAF) on the SAMS portal, students will have the flexibility to choose their preferred major and minor subjects. Students interested in Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programmes will also be able to apply for the courses through the SAMS portal,” added the department.
