Odisha: ECoR regulates train services for modernisation work between Malatipatpur & Puri; check details

In view of ongoing safety related modernization works between Malatipatpur and Puri stations in the Khurda Road Division, certain train services will be temporarily regulated.

Bhubaneswar: In view of ongoing safety related modernization works between Malatipatpur and Puri stations in the Khurda Road Division, certain train services will be temporarily regulated. These operational adjustments are being undertaken to enhance safety standards, improve operational efficiency, and ensure long term reliability of the railway network, said the East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Wednesday.

Cancellation of Trains

The following train services will remain cancelled on June 26

             68403 Khurda Road- Puri MEMU

             68404 Puri- Khurda Road MEMU

             68410 Puri- Khurda Road MEMU

             68409 Khurda Road - Puri MEMU

             68416 Puri- Cuttack MEMU

             68415 Cuttack- Puri MEMU

             68414 Puri- Talcher MEMU

             68413 Talcher-Puri MEMU

             12278 Puri-Howrah Shatabdi Express

             12277 Howrah-Puri Shatabdi Express

             18416 Puri-Barbil Express

             18415 Barbil-Puri Express

             18414 Puri-Paradeep Intercity Express

             18413 Paradeep-Puri Intercity Express

Short Termination / Short Origination of Trains

The following train services will be short-terminated/short-originated on June 25 and 26.

             Train No. 22201 Sealdah–Puri Duronto Express will be short-terminated at Malatipatpur instead of Puri on 25th June 2026 and Train No. 22202 Puri–Sealdah Duronto Express will originate from Malatipatpur instead of Puri on 26th June 2026.

             Similarly, Train No. 18125 Rourkela–Puri Express will be short-terminated at Khurda Road instead of Puri on 25th June 2026 and Train No. 18126 Puri–Rourkela Express will originate from Khurda Road instead of Puri on 26th June 2026.

             Train No. 68421 Angul–Puri Passenger will be short-terminated at Khurda Road and Train No. 68422 Puri–Angul Passenger will originate from Khurda Road on 26th June.  

             Train No. 68441 Jaleswar–Puri Passenger will be short-terminated at Khurda Road and Train No. 68442 Puri–Jaleswar Passenger will originate from Khurda Road on 26th June.

             Train No. 68450 Daspalla–Puri Passenger will be short-terminated at Khurda Road and Train No. 68449 Puri–Daspalla Passenger will originate from Khurda Road on 26th June.

Rescheduling of Trains

             Train No. 18409 Shalimar–Puri Express, scheduled to commence its journey on 25th June, will be rescheduled by 3 hours from its scheduled departure time.

             Train No. 12881 Shalimar–Puri Express, scheduled to commence its journey on 25th June, will be rescheduled by 2 hours 30 minutes from its scheduled departure time.

             Train No. 12802 Anand Vihar Terminal–Puri Express, scheduled to commence its journey on 24th June, will be rescheduled by 2 hours 30 minutes from its scheduled departure time.

             Train No. 18450 Patna–Puri Express, scheduled to commence its journey on 25th June, will be rescheduled by 5 hours from its scheduled departure time.

             Train No. 20836 Puri–Rourkela Vande Bharat Express, scheduled to commence its journey on 26th June, will be rescheduled by 2 hours 30 minutes from its scheduled departure time.

“Passengers are advised to take note of the changes and plan their journeys accordingly. For updated train information, passengers may visit the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or use official railway enquiry services before commencing their journey,” said the ECoR.
