Bhubaneswar: A 22-year-old electrician was electrocuted while installing the sound system for ‘Danda Nacha’ in Dharakote area of Odisha’s Ganjam district today.

The deceased has been identified as Akhaya Mallick of Kalamathia area in Nayagarh district.

Mallick was working as an electrician with Nilakantheswar Light and Sound Agency in Nayagarh.

As per reports, Mallick was electrocuted while installing the sound system for a cultural event as part of the ‘Danda Nacha’ at Jahada village under Dharakote police limits in the evening.

The locals rushed Mallick to a hospital at Aska. However, he was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.
