Bhubaneswar: The state government has appointed new Principal and Superintendent for Maharaja Jajati Keshari Medical College and Hospital (MJKMCH) in Odisha’s Jajpur district.

Ashok Kumar Mallik, a professor at the Neurology Department of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, has been transferred and appointed as the Dean & Principal of MJKMCH in Jajpur, said a notification issued by the Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department today.

Similarly, Jami Sagar Prusti, a professor at the Anatomy Department of the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur, has been transferred and appointed as the Superintendent of MJKMCH in Jajpur, it added.

In a related development, several other medical college and hospitals got new faculty members as the H&FW Department carried out the transfer of altogether 27 Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors in the state.
