Bhubaneswar: Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, is scheduled to visit Odisha on July 9 for a one-day tour during which he will participate in several official and social programmes in Bhubaneswar.
A key highlight of his visit will be his participation in a programme at Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology. The event will also be attended by Odisha Governor, Chief Minister, and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
According to sources, the Vice President will attend a number of important engagements in the State capital and is likely to interact with several prominent personalities during his visit.
In view of the high-profile visit, the administration has intensified preparations across Bhubaneswar. Departments concerned have been directed to ensure smooth arrangements at programme venues, while security measures are being strengthened to facilitate the visit.
