Odisha govt issues notification for regularisation of schematic teachers

Bhubaneswar: The state government today issued a notification for regularisation of junior teachers (schematic) engaged in primary and upper primary (UP) schools in Odisha.

As per the notification issued by the School and Mass Education (S&ME) Department, the state government has regularized the junior teachers (schematic), engaged during the 2023-24 academic year through due recruitment process, as Assistant Teacher in Level-V(A) of the Elementary Cadre.

The service of these junior teachers has been regularised from the date of their joining and they will get the ‘Notional Benefit’ dues till December 31 last year. The teachers are eligible for regular salaries and other allowances from January 1 this year, said the notification.

It is worth mentioning here that Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had earlier approved a proposal for the regularization of over 13,000 schematic junior teachers in Odisha.
