Bhubaneswar: In a significant administrative move, the Odisha Higher Education Department has reshuffled leadership positions across non-government aided degree colleges in the state by transferring 80 Readers and entrusting them with additional responsibilities.
According to official sources, the transferred Readers have been appointed as Principal-in-Charge-cum-Secretary of their newly assigned institutions. The decision is aimed at strengthening governance and improving the administrative efficiency of aided colleges across the State.
The department has issued clear instructions directing all the transferred officials to report to their new places of posting with immediate effect. They have been asked to ensure compliance with the transfer orders no later than July 20, 2026.
The reshuffle is part of the state government’s broader efforts to streamline academic administration and ensure better management of higher education institutions.
