Malkangiri: At least one person was killed, and more than 10 others sustained injuries after a DJ vehicle met with an accident near Mathili in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Friday morning. The mishap occurred as a tyre of the vehicle burst.

According to reports, the ill-fated vehicle was travelling from Dharmagarh towards Malkangiri when the accident occurred near Anlajodi, close to Mathili, at around 7 am.

More than 10 people sustained injuries in the accident. They were rescued and taken to Mathili Hospital for treatment.

Mathili police are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident.
