Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Odisha has made it mandatory for higher secondary schools to install CCTV cameras for smooth conduct of the Plus II examinations.

The CHSE has asked the higher secondary schools to install the CCTV cameras in examination halls, strong rooms, offices of the centre superintendents and laboratories by November 30.

CHSE Controller of Examinations Prasanta Kumar Parida on Wednesday wrote a letter in this regard to the principals of all higher secondary schools in the state.

The higher secondary schools have also been asked to make the necessary arrangements for live streaming of the annual higher secondary (Plus II) examination, 2027.

In addition to this, the CHSE has asked the higher secondary schools to check all previously installed CCTVs as part of their readiness for the examination.

As per the letter, the higher secondary schools which have applied for new examination centres must ensure that CCTV cameras are installed in their examination halls and centre superintendent’s room by November 30.

“Failure of any higher secondary schools to install the CCTV system and comply with all other requirements by November 30, 2026, may compel the CHSE to cancel the examination centre (both theory and practical) and report to the government for taking appropriate action against the defaulting institutions,” read the letter.
