Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu is likely to visit Odisha’s Ganjam district on August 4.

The President may visit Taptapani hot spring, a popular tourist spot in Sanakhemundi block of Ganjam, during the one-day tour.

Ganjam Collector Keerthi Vasan V, SP Harisha BC, Berhampur SP Saravana Vivek M and other senior officials visited Taptapani on Friday and took stock of security and other aspects even though there was no official confirmation regarding the Presidential tour.  

“The President may visit Taptapani on August 4. She is likely to interact with the local tribal communities during her tour. However, the itinerary of her visit is yet to be finalised,” said a source.
