Sundargarh: A YouTuber from Ranchi in Jharkhand was allegedly abducted, robbed and hacked to death by three miscreants in Odisha's Sundargarh district. In a dramatic turn of events, the main accused died in a road accident while fleeing after the crime.

The deceased has been identified as Shibadhan Lohar, the YouTuber from Ranchi. According to reports, he had come to Sundargarh Medical College to admit a relative for treatment and was returning to Ranchi late at night.

Shibadhan was travelling in his own car, while his friend Anmol Nayak of Talsara was driving another vehicle ahead of him. At around midnight, after crossing Sabadega, three miscreants tried to stop Anmol's car. However, he managed to drive away without stopping. The accused then intercepted Shibadhan's vehicle and abducted him.

The assailants took Shibadhan nearly 80 kilometres away to Duduka under Hemgir police limits, where they allegedly killed him with a sharp weapon. They later dumped his body near a railway overbridge before fleeing with his car, wallet and mobile phone.

While escaping towards Jharsuguda through the coal corridor road, the accused lost control over the wheels near Bhasma. The vehicle veered off the road, killing the main accused, identified as Shubhendu, on the spot.

Another accused sustained critical injuries in the crash and is undergoing treatment at Rourkela Government Hospital. The third accused, who is reportedly a juvenile, has been detained by the police.

Following the incident, the Superintendent of Police, the SDPO and a scientific investigation team reached the spot and launched a detailed investigation.
