20-year-old dies while bathing with friends

Bhandaripokhari (Bhadrak): A tragic incident unfolded near the Akhuapada anicut under Bhandaripokhari police limits, where a 20-year-old youth drowned while bathing on Friday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Bholanath Behera, son of Ramesh Chandra Behera from Akhuapada village in Bhadrak district. According to reports, he had gone to the anicut around 12 pm along with friends.

Slips into deep water, rescued affter search

While bathing, Bholanath reportedly ventured into deep waters and drowned. Local residents launched a search operation and managed to pull him out within 10 minutes.

Declared dead at hospital

He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in Jajpur district, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Sole breadwinner’s death leaves family devastated

Bholanath was the only son in his family. His untimely death has left his parents shattered, with grief gripping the household.

As news of the incident spread, a pall of gloom descended over Akhuapada and nearby areas, with villagers expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss.
