Bhadrak: In a shocking incident, a person allegedly hacked his wife to death at Khaparapada village under Basudevpur police limits in Odisha's Bhadrak district today.

The accused, identified as Prafulla Barik (40), surrendered at police station after committing the crime.

According to reports, a dispute erupted between Barik and his wife Jayanti this morning. It took an ugly turn as Barik attacked her with a hoe killing her on the spot.

Police have started investigation into the incident. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
