Katihar (Bihar): In a tragic incident, at least 10 people were killed and around 25 others injured after a pickup van collided with a truck in Bihar’s Katihar district on Saturday evening.

According to reports, the pickup vehicle, carrying passengers returning from a festival, crashed into the truck near Gerabari under Korha Police Station. The impact of the collision was so severe that 10 occupants of the pickup van died on the spot.

Katihar Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Pradhumn Singh Yadav said the injured have been admitted to Purnia Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Sadar Hospital in Katihar for post-mortem examination, he added.
