Bhubaneswar: To mark the World Day for International Justice, ASBM School of Law organised a thought-provoking and insightful event on 17th July 2025, aimed at fostering awareness about the significance of international justice and the challenges surrounding it. The event was held by the support of Prof. (Dr.) Biswajeet Pattanayak, Founder and President of ASBM University, whose contribution added to the occasion.

The event began with a keynote address by Prof. (Dr.) Premanand Ranasigh, Dean, School of Law, who elaborated on the pressing issues people across the country face in accessing justice. He emphasised the importance of mutual respect and cooperation among nations to maintain global peace and harmony.

His words served as a wake-up call for the budding legal minds to understand their role in the broader justice system.

Adding further depth to the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Jharasri Paikray and Prof. (Dr.) Rupashree Sahoo, both esteemed faculty members of the School of Law, delivered compelling speeches that captivated the audience. They spoke about the evolving landscape of international justice, the importance of legal education, and the responsibilities that come with being a part of the global legal community.

The event concluded with an interactive session where law students enthusiastically shared their thoughts, reflections, and aspirations. They pledged to contribute meaningfully toward upholding international justice, being the voice for the voiceless, and advocating for equality and fairness in every sphere of life.

The celebration of World Day for International Justice at ASBM University was not just an event, but a powerful reminder of the legal profession’s moral duty to protect human rights and ensure justice for all.
