2 engineering students held in Bhubaneswar while planning to kill classmate

Bhubaneswar: Two engineering students of a city-based private engineering college here were arrested today on charges of hatching a conspiracy to kill their classmate.

The Infocity police also seized a gun and three live bullets from the possession of the two accused identified as Aryan Singh alias Molu a resident of Raipur in Chhattisgarh and Utsav Singh alias Babu of Bihar.

Sources said the college authorities had suspended the two recently following some serious allegations leveled against them. The duo had enmity with one of their batchmates, who was staying in the college hostel. To take revenge, the two had planned to eliminate him.

However, on getting information, police reached the college hostel and arrested the two accused. The cops also registered a case under Section-506 of the IPC and 25 and 27 of Arms Act in this connection.

The two engineering students are being interrogated and further investigation is on in this case, police said.
