Berhampur: Continuous rainfall under the influence of Cyclone 'Arnab' has caused severe waterlogging in several parts of Odisha's Berhampur city.

Several localities, including Gajapati Nagar, Nilachal Nagar, Kautiki Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Bapuji Nagar, Bhakta Salabega Nagar, Old Berhampur and First Gate, have been inundated by rainwater.

Water has entered several houses in different neighbourhoods, leaving residents marooned. Power supply has also remained disrupted in several areas since Wednesday, adding to the difficulties faced by people amid the waterlogging situation.

Efforts are underway by the Berhampur Municipal Corporation to restore normalcy.
