National association for blind (NAB) has conducted a Miss India contest for the blind young girls in association with Vocational Rehabilitation Center (VRCH) for Handicapped and Ama Dunia on the premises of VRCH.

About 50 girls had participated in this contest and 14 were selected in the first round. Aged between 18-30 years, the girls put their heart in showcasing their talent on the ramp.

Fashion designer and social worker Tulika Mohanty, Ananya Patnaik, Itishree Sahoo and Prabhati Mishra were the judges for this competition. The 14 finalists will participate in a week-long training program, where they will undergo grooming sessions on dressing and catwalking. The second round will be held at KIIT School of Fashion Technology on August 28 from which four will be selected, who will go on to take part in the last round to be held in Mumbai in September.

In the final round, the participants will face some contests like question answer, talent show, and ramp walk.
