Jagatsinghpur: Police in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district have arrested a man for allegedly creating and circulating obscene AI-generated videos of a married woman after she reportedly rejected his repeated advances.
The accused has been identified as Saroj Behera, a resident of Kendrapara district, who operated a garage at Krushnanandapur.
According to police sources, the woman and her husband had visited the accused’s garage during the Covid period for vehicle repair work, during which they became acquainted with him. Over time, Saroj reportedly developed close ties with the family.

The content was later circulated on social media platforms and other digital channels.
Following the incident, the woman lodged a complaint at the cyber police station, prompting an investigation by Jagatsinghpur police.
During the probe, police arrested the accused and seized two mobile phones along with several objectionable videos and digital materials allegedly linked to the case.
Police officials said further investigation is underway to determine the extent of circulation of the AI-generated content and whether others were involved in the crime.
Speaking on the incident, Additional SP Satyabrata Dash said the accused was arrested based on evidence collected during the investigation and legal action has been initiated under relevant sections related to cybercrime and obscenity.
