Jagatsinghpur: Raising fresh concerns over law and order in Odisha, another incident of mob violence has surfaced in Jagatsinghpur district.

A video that has gone viral on social media allegedly shows a youth being assaulted by a group of people in a coordinated manner. The attack is reportedly linked to a land dispute.

The incident is said to have occurred barely 200 metres from the Jagatsinghpur Sadar police station and, shockingly, in front of a PCR vehicle.

A complaint has been lodged at the Sadar police station. However, police are yet to take any concrete action, leaving the victim and his family in fear.

The latest incident comes amid a worrying rise in cases of mob violence in the state.

About two months ago, a similar video had surfaced from the district, showing a youth being brutally attacked with stones in an alleged attempt to murder.

The recurrence of such incidents has triggered public concern, with many residents questioning the effectiveness of law enforcement and demanding strict action against those involved in mob violence.
