Goods train derails in Odisha's Angul, pointsman dies

Angul: A goods train derailed near Jarasingha in Odisha's Angul district today reportedly due to brake failure.

A pointsman, who was on duty at the spot, died as the train ran over him after the derailment. The deceased has been identified as Binay Sahu of Jarada in the district.

As many as 7 wagons of the freight train went off track, reports said.

On being informed about the mishap, senior Railways officials and police reached the site and started investigation.
