Bhubaneswar: A big blunder came to fore in allocation of portfolios to the union ministers inducted into Team Modi 2.0 with repeating same ministries to seven parliament members in MoS cadre.

While MoS Sanjeev Kumar Balyan was allocated with Ministry of Animal Husbandry, the first-time MP from Balasore Lok Sabha Constituency Pratap Sarangi has also been assigned the same portfolio along with MSME in the union cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Similarly, union ministers G Kishan Reddy and Nityananda Rai were found in getting same portfolio in Modi's new team. While Reddy got the MoS berth with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Nityananda shared the same portfolio in Modi 2 government.

Three more ministers were also found sharing one portfolio in MoS cadre. While Krishan Pal and Ramdas Athawale were allocated Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, union minister (MoS) minister Rattan Lal Kataria got the same portfolio along with Ministry of Jal Shakti.

Earlier, a major blunder was reported in allocation of portfolios in Odisha government after swearing-in ceremony on May 29 when the cabinet minister Prafulla Mallick was found in the list of ministers with additional Home Affairs portfolio (MoS). Later, the list was corrected with allocating that portfolio to Dibya Shankar Mishra.
