KALIA: Odisha to spend Rs 3234 cr more for addl beneficiaries

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will spend Rs 3234 crore more for additional beneficiaries of the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme during 2019-20, official sources said.

A decision in this regard was taken at the first meeting of the State Cabinet held on May 29.

It was decided to include 32.34 lakh additional farmers under the scheme, making the total number of beneficiaries around 75 lakh.

The funds required for the additional beneficiaries have been approved.
