Bhubaneswar: Two teachers from Odisha have been selected for the National Teachers Awards-2026, provided by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Union Ministry of Education.

Md. Zafar Alam of Eklavya Model Residential School, Karanjia, in Mayurbhanj district and Padaraj Umakanta Nayak of Government High School at Alipingal in Jagatsinghpur district have been selected for the prestigious awards.

Altogether 48 school teachers from across the country will be felicitated with the National Teachers Awards-2026 by the President of India on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on September 5.

Each teacher will be felicitated with a certificate of merit, a cash award of Rs 50,000 and a silver medal.
