Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, three youths were killed after a bike crashed into a wall in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Saturday.

The mishap took place at Kuamara village under Khunta police limits in the evening.

The deceased has been identified as Shakti Singh (25), Sahdeb Singh (26) and Bapun Singh (23) of the village.

The trio met with the mishap while returning home from a nearby market at around 7 pm.

Their motorcycle crashed into the boundary wall of a house and then plunged into a pond, reports said.

Shakti and Sahadeb died on the spot while locals rescued Bapun in a critical condition and rushed him to a nearby hospital. He succumbed to his injuries while being treated at the health facility.

On being informed, the police reached the spot and seized the bodies after registering a case in this regard.

The bodies will be sent for postmortem tomorrow (Sunday), said the cops.
