Bhubaneswar: Altogether six police personnel, including three IICs, were transferred in a major reshuffle in Odisha’s Boudh district on Monday.
Boudh SP Kuldeep Meena carried out the reshuffle amid allegations that some police officers had close link with illegal ganja traders.
Director General of Police (DGP) Binayatosh Mishra had earlier directed the Boudh SP to conduct a probe following the circulation of a purported audio in connection with the illegal ganja trade.
Nalinikanta Das, the IIC of Boudh Model police station, has been shifted to the district police headquarters. Inspector Ranjit Muni of Purunakatak police station has been transferred and posted as the new IIC of Boudh Model police.
Similarly, Inspector Babita Sahoo has been appointed as the new IIC of Purunakatak police. She was earlier working at the district police headquarters.
In addition to this, ASI Pranabindu Sahoo of Baghiapada outpost has been shifted to the SP office. The Boudh SP has shifted ASI Brahmananda Pradhan from Janhapank outpost to Baghiapada.
Similarly, ASI Pitabas Behera, who was earlier working at the police headquarters, has been transferred to Janhapank outpost.
