Bhadrak: In view of continuous heavy rainfall and the resulting flood-like situation, the Bhadrak district administration has declared a holiday for all schools in the district on July 15, 2026.

According to an official order issued by the District Collector, government, government-aided, and private schools across the district will remain closed for the day.

The decision has been taken prioritising the safety of students amid persistent rain and widespread waterlogging in several parts of the district.

The district administration has urged parents, teachers, and school authorities to comply with the directive and remain alert to the evolving weather conditions.

Meanwhile, authorities have issued a warning for residents living in downstream areas of the Baitarani and Salandi rivers, as water levels continue to rise. Several parts of Bhadrak town and other low-lying areas have been inundated following incessant rainfall.

Residents have been advised to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary movement as the adverse weather situation persists.
