Bhubaneswar: Train services in Odisha and adjoining regions have been disrupted due to water flowing above the danger level over two railway bridges in the Ichchapuram–Jhadupudi section of the Visakhapatnam Division. In view of passenger safety, the Railways have cancelled nine trains and diverted 14 others on Thursday.
The affected bridges are Bridge Nos. 631/01 and 630/01, where rising water levels have prompted restrictions on train operations. Additionally, two trains have been cancelled due to the prevailing cyclone situation, as notified earlier.
Railway officials are closely monitoring the situation. Services will be restored after the water level recedes and the section is declared safe for train operations.
