Bhubaneswar: The state government will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the HCLTech on July 24 (Friday) for establishment of an AI Data Centre Park and Global Development Centre (GDC) in Odisha.

The MoU will be signed at the State Convention Centre at Lok Seva Bhawan in the capital city here at 11 am tomorrow.

The twin projects will come up in Khordha district with an investment of Rs 730 crore, said the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in a social media post on Thursday.

The projects are expected to generate thousands of employment opportunities and create new avenues for Odisha’s skilled youth, added the CMO.

According to the government, the partnership will strengthen Odisha’s capabilities in emerging technologies, accelerate growth of the IT and ITeS sector and attract further high-value investments.

As global technology leaders increasingly choose Odisha, the state is moving with confidence towards becoming a major hub for innovation, digital infrastructure and future-ready enterprise, said the state government.

“Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Odisha is scripting a new chapter of technology-led growth and emerging as a preferred investment destination for leading global players. Backed by progressive policies, robust infrastructure and a future-ready talent pool, the state is steadily building a globally competitive digital ecosystem,” stated the CMO.
