Sundaragada: Continuous rainfall has severely disrupted normal life across Odisha, with the Gurundia Community Health Centre and the Gurundia Block Office in Sundaragada district's Bonai subdivision remaining submerged.

Waterlogging has become a major concern at both government facilities due to the absence of an effective drainage system. Stagnant rainwater has made it difficult for employees and the public to access the premises.

At the Gurundia Community Health Centre, knee-deep water has accumulated across the campus. Rainwater has also entered several wards, causing inconvenience to patients, their attendants, and healthcare workers. With water remaining stagnant for an extended period, concerns have also grown over sanitation and public health.

A similar situation has been reported at the Gurundia Block Office, where knee-deep water has inundated the premises. Vehicles belonging to office staff were seen partially submerged. People visiting the office from different areas to avail government services have been facing difficulty entering the campus.

Locals alleged that inadequate drainage infrastructure and poor water evacuation are recurring problems, resulting in severe waterlogging every monsoon season. They have urged the district administration to take immediate steps to develop a permanent drainage solution and prevent such situations in the future.
