Bhubaneswar: Several districts in Odisha may witness heavy rainfall till July 22, said the IMD in its weather report on Sunday.
As per the IMD prediction, at least 15 districts in the state are likely to witness heavy rainfall on July 20 (Monday). These districts are Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri. The MeT Department has issued a Yellow warning in this regard.
Besides, a few districts of Odisha, including Balasore, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj may witness heavy rainfall till July 22, said the IMD regional centre here today.
According to the MeT Department, rainfall activity is likely to continue in districts of North and South Odisha till July 26.
Several places across the districts of Odisha witnessed light to moderate rainfall during the last 24 hours while a few places in the districts of Nayagarh, Kalahandi and Bargarh recorded heavy rainfall, added the IMD regional centre.
