Bhubaneswar: Hot and humid weather is likely to make a comeback in Odisha from April 12, even as thunderstorms are expected to continue across parts of the state till April 10, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The weather agency has advised people to remain alert and seek safe shelter during lightning. Farmers have been cautioned to take preventive measures. The IMD suggested regulating crop harvesting activities and using hail nets to protect vegetables and standing crops from possible hailstorms.
The IMD further said there will be no significant change in the day temperature over the next two days. However, a gradual rise of 4 to 6 degrees Celsius is expected thereafter across Odisha.
From April 12 onwards, hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati districts.
