Bhubaneswar: The maximum temperature is likely to rise by 4 to 6 Degree Celsius across Odisha in the next few days, said the IMD regional centre here today.
Several districts in the state may witness hot and humid conditions due to the rise in the maximum temperature, added the IMD in its weather bulletin.
As per the IMD prediction, heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail in the Western Odisha districts of Sambalpur, Balangir and Bargarh for at least three days starting April 13.
This apart, several districts across the state including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati may witness hot and humid conditions till April 17.
Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati between April 12 and 14, said the IMD.
