Bhubaneswar: India successfully test-fired Medium Range Ballistic Missile (MRBM), Agni-4, from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur in Odisha’s Balasore district on Thursday.

The launch, conducted under the aegis of the Strategic Forces Command, successfully validated all operational and technical parametres, said the Ministry of Defence.  

The Agni-4 is a two-stage solid-fuel ballistic missile with a range of around 4,000 kms. The missile was developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in India.

It is the fourth one in the Agni series of missiles. India has flight tested Agni-4 missile at least nine times since its first test in 2010.
