Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government’s Home Department has effected a reshuffle among senior IPS officers, transferring and posting six officers to new positions across the state.
As per a notification issued by the Home Department, the following officers have been transferred and posted to the positions mentioned against their names:
Himansu Kumar Lal, IPS (RR-2003) has been posted as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Northern Range, Sambalpur. He was serving as IGP, Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Bhubaneswar, and STF.
Satyabrata Bhoi, IPS (RR-2004) has been posted as IGP, Northern Central Range (NCR), Talcher, with additional charge as Principal, Police Training Centre (PTC), Angul. He was serving as IGP, Intelligence.
Jai Narayan Pankaj, IPS (RR-2005) has been transferred as IGP, Intelligence, Odisha, Bhubaneswar. He was previously serving as IGP, Southern Range, Brahmapur.
Niti Shekhar, IPS (RR-2007) has been posted as IGP (Provisioning), SP Headquarters. He was serving as IGP, Southern Range, Brahmapur.
Charan Singh Meena, IPS (RR-2009) has been transferred from his post as DIG of Police, Provisioning, and posted as DIG of Police, Northern Range, Sambalpur.
Ashish Kumar Singh, IPS (RR-2010), who recently joined the Home Department following his repatriation from Central Deputation, has been posted as DIG of Police, Northern Central Range, Talcher, with additional charge as Principal, PTC, Angul.
The reshuffle comes as part of the state government's administrative reorganisation of the police establishment, with the officers being assigned responsibilities across intelligence, ranges, provisioning and police training.
