Kataka: The historic Bali Jatra in Kataka will be held from November 24 to December 1 this year, Kataka Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde said today.

The district administration has proposed to the state government to hold the annual fair at both the upper and lower grounds of the Bali Jatra venue. The final decision will depend on the government’s approval.

The administration has also planned to increase parking facilities compared to previous years to manage the expected rush of visitors. Artists from outside Odisha, including Bollywood artistes, will be invited to perform during the event.

According to the Collector, water sports activities will also be available in the Mahanadi during the Bali Jatra.
