Nuapada: Komna Tehsildar and an Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI) have been suspended in connection with a land fraud case in Odisha's Nuapada district, after an inquiry found irregularities in the alleged sale of land belonging to two siblings without their knowledge.

The case relates to Satyanarayan Pradhan and his sister Kumudini Pradhan of Chandopala village under Komna tehsil. They had alleged that their land was sold without their consent or knowledge. A subsequent inquiry reportedly found the allegations to be true.

Following the allegations, Nuapada Collector directed the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) to conduct an inquiry into the matter.

During the inquiry, the ADM found the involvement of Komna tehsil office Assistant Revenue Inspector Ramnath Mishra in the alleged irregularities. The findings were submitted to the Nuapada Collector.

Based on the inquiry report, the Collector suspended Ramnath Mishra. During his suspension, Mishra has been directed to remain at the Boden Tehsildar's office and cannot leave the headquarters without prior permission from the competent authority.

Komna Tehsildar Sarbeswar Jal has also been suspended by the state government in connection with the land fraud case.
