Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has deployed three IAS officers for overall supervision of the relief and restoration measures in flood-affected districts of Bhadrak, Baleshwar and Jajpur.
The General Administration and Public Grievance Department of the state government today issued an order in this regard.
As per the order, Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) Managing Director Sudhanshu Mohan Samal, a 2010-batch IAS officer, has been deployed for the overall supervision of flood management in Bhadrak district.
Similarly, Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation (OSCSC) MD K Sudarshan Chakravarthy, a 2011-batch IAS officer, will monitor and supervise the flood management, including the relief and restoration measures in Baleshwar district.
Besides, Excise Commissioner P Anvesha Reddy, a 2017-batch IAS officer, has been sent to supervise flood management in Jajpur district.
“The three IAS officers are hereby deployed to the flood-affected districts of Bhadrak, Baleshwar and Jajpur for overall supervision of the preparedness, relief and restoration measures,” said the General Administration Department.
The three IAS officers have been asked to proceed to the respective districts and remain stationed there for effective monitoring and supervision of the flood management in close coordination with the district administration, it added.
