Odisha floods: CM Majhi deputes 4 ministers to oversee relief, restoration work

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has deputed four ministers to supervise relief and restoration work in flood-affected areas of Odisha.

Majhi deputed the ministers to oversee the management of the flood situation after conducting an aerial survey of the affected areas on Saturday, said the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in a statement.

According to the CMO, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo will oversee relief and restoration work in Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts while another Deputy Chief Minister, Pravati Parida, has been given the responsibilities for Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur districts.

Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari has been assigned the responsibility for Puri district. Similarly, Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Minister Rabinarayan Naik has been entrusted with supervising relief and restoration work in Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts.

Moreover, the Chief Minister has asked all other ministers to visit their respective districts and supervise relief and restoration activities the flood-affected regions.
