Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Tuesday dismissed as “fake and fabricated” a letter circulating on social media that claims approval for the creation of 7,234 Sishu Vatika Teacher posts under the Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA).

According to official sources in the School and Mass Education Department, no such proposal has been approved by the Finance Department or any competent authority.

The clarification comes after a document, bearing Letter No. 10911/F dated April 24, 2026, was widely shared on social media platforms and reportedly published in certain sections of the print media.

Government sources stated the signature, contents, letter number, and purported approval mentioned in the circulated document are false and hold no official validity.

The fake letter falsely claims the Finance Department has sanctioned the creation and engagement of 7,234 Sishu Vatika Teacher posts under OSEPA, with a monthly remuneration of ₹26,200 per teacher.

Officials further informed the matter has been brought to the notice of the competent authorities for initiating appropriate legal action against those responsible for creating and circulating the forged document.
