Bhubaneswar: Amid the ongoing controversy over errors in recently published text books by SCERT, Odisha, the state government on Thursday announced PDF versions of the revised tex tbooks have been uploaded online for public feedback.
According to a letter issued by the Directorate of Teacher Education and SCERT, Odisha, to officials of the School and Mass Education Department, revised draft text books for Classes I to IV have been submitted and uploaded on the official website.
The government has invited feedback from the public within seven days, the letter stated.
Citizens have been requested to share their feedback via email at [email protected] or through the Vidya Samikhya Kendra helpline number 18003456722.
The development comes in the wake of strong criticism from Opposition parties, including the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Congress, over alleged errors in text books for Classes I to VIII. The BJD has claimed there were as many as 1,678 errors in the SCERT Odisha text books.
The Congress has also demanded the resignation of School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond over the issue.
